Ayan Arnab Sikshan Sanastha, a B.Ed. college was established in a very natural environment at Ajodhya, Kanksa, Burdwan West Bengal, in 2013. The institution is recognized by NCTE and is affiliated to Burdwan University. Since its inception the institution is trying its best to achieve excellence through sincerity, hard work and discipline in order to prepare the student-teachers to face the challenges of 21st century.
The vision of the institution is to inspire the student-teachers to acquire knowledge and skills so as to enable them to apply these skills for the benefit of the society. The main objective of the institution is to promote creative and critical thinking in teaching learning process and bring about desirable attitudinal changes among the student-teachers.
The institution has 16 permanent faculty members. It has an approved intake of 100 student-teachers. As the institution is affiliated to Burdwan University the curriculum, course pattern, internal and external evaluations are guided by the rules and regulations of the university. The curriculum structure of B.Ed. course provides ample scope for healthy teaching practice, internal assessment, field trips, practical work, curricular and co-curricular activities and so on. As far as cultural activities are concerned this institution arranges educational tour every year to various parts of the country for the student-teachers. The results of the student teachers have been quite impressive and in last 3 years 100% student-teachers passed with first class marks in B.Ed. examinations.
The management is well experienced and has the vision and mission to successfully capacitate and encourage teacher-educators and other employees to contribute for effective transaction of teaching-learning process.
The beautiful natural ambiance of the institution is suitable for studies. Therefore, I hope that the institution would continue to be an excellent center of quality based teacher-education system in terms of infrastructure, faculty, and teaching-learning environment.
